Anastasia Shcherbakova is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Finance and Managerial Economics in the Naveen Jindal School of Management, at the University of Texas at Dallas. She is the founding director of the Jindal School’s new graduate and undergraduate degrees in Energy Management.

Professor Shcherbakova is an applied economist, specializing in energy economics, market regulation, and energy and financial risk. She conducts empirical research on energy finance, regulation, and risk management. Her research has been published in a number of peer-reviewed energy, environmental, and economic journals. She teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in energy economics and energy finance. She has presented several seminars at international conferences, academic institutions, and professional energy associations.

Professor Shcherbakova holds a PhD in Public Policy from the University of Chicago, and a B.A in Economics from Knox College. Prior to her appointment at UT Dallas, she was Assistant Professor of Energy Economics at Penn State University’s Department of Energy and Mineral Engineering.
